Jack P. Friedman is a Senior Partner at Schmeiser Olsen and a highly accomplished patent attorney with deep technical and scientific expertise. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Jack is a Partner and patent attorney in Albany, New York, and is admitted to practice in New York State, before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Before entering legal practice, Jack worked at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory as a computer scientist and senior engineer. His technical career spans engineering, physics, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, computer science, and mathematics, giving him exceptional depth in handling highly technical intellectual property matters.
Jack has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution across virtually all technology areas, including complex office action responses, patent appeals, and strategic portfolio development. He also advises clients on licensing and contractual matters, providing comprehensive support throughout the intellectual property lifecycle.
