PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Kea Enos a Senior Partner at Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts and has been with the firm for over 20
years. He has the trust of and a great relationship with in-house patent counsel and law firms
globally. Kea represents clients that are diverse in size and technology, including large and small
corporations, startups and individuals. He has experience in patent prosecution, global IP
portfolio management, IP licensing, IP litigation and enforcement, and IP due diligence to assist
his clients in development of their best IP strategies.
Kea prosecutes patent applications in various technological fields including energy generation,
mechanical devices and systems, electro-mechanical devices and systems, automotive
technologies, computer hardware and software technologies, and business methods.
He is experienced in IP litigation and enforcement and has handled litigating patent
infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement and theft of trade secrets cases in
Arizona, Texas, Virginia and Pennsylvania district courts. Kea is also experienced in other means
of enforcement including take down requests, ICANN UDRP proceedings, TTAB and PTAB
proceedings and other creative means of enforcing IP rights outside of conventional litigation.
EDUCATION
Kea was a recipient of a full tuition scholarship for all years of obtaining his Mechanical
Engineering degree from Brigham Young University and was awarded the “Spirit of the Y”
award for leadership and service. During his undergraduate degree program, Kea was a Gates
Millennium Scholar recognized by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for his academic
accomplishments in a STEM degree program. Kea then attended law school at Brigham Young
University, during which time he was a scholarship recipient and obtained honors for
Outstanding Legal Writing.
